Best Interest? Another E-mail

I just found out that my son was in in-school suspension for the past two weeks and that they are talking about placing him in Habberton House, which is an inpatient hospital for children with severe behavior problems.

When he still lived with me, he NEVER got in trouble. He was an awesome student. Excellent grades (has good grades now, too). He was never suspended from school, never got detention, never got in-school suspension. He did have recess time taken away a couple of times (what kid hasn't). He was very respectful to adults and other children. He didn't go into these rages that he does now.

Now, since she has had custody, he has been suspended from school twice, suspended from the school bus twice, backtalks teachers and other school officials, was apparently in in-school suspension for two weeks (they only give ISS in one day increments - which means he has been completely out of control for two weeks now and I haven't seen him in several weeks - connection?), and now they are considering placing him in an inpatient hospital. Apparently, he threw a chair at the teacher, stabbed a child in the hand with a pencil, cursed at the teacher, and beat another kid up pretty bad. My son is only 9 years old!!!

If I am able to get a different Judge, would any of this be grounds enough for a change in custody? There is also currently an investigation of abuse but I don't have any info on it yet.
